PURPOSE:To obtain efficient evaporating and humidifying effect by very few heat energy by a method wherein a simulative flowering plant, having large surface area, is made by employing a fibrous material having fine porous organization, while a liquid tank accommodating a liquid to dip the trunk of the plant body is provided. CONSTITUTION:The simulative flowering plant body 1, such as hydrangea, having many leafy parts 1a and large surface area is prepared and the constituting material is the non-woven cloth of fine synthetic fibers having fine porous organization, air permeability, water-keeping property, and resistances to corrosion and heat. The plant body 1 is supported in the tank 2 to fix it so that the trunk part 1b of the simulative flowering plant body 1 is located so as to be dipped into water. In case a room is heated by a fan-heater, the titled device is used in a position on the blow-off rout of room heating air, whereby vapor is generated from the leafy parts 1a of the simulative flowing plant body 1 in accordance with contacting and flowing of the heated air, and the room may be humidified.
