PURPOSE:A preparation for rectal administration for promoting absorption of uracil useful as a compound for enhancing synergistically antitumor activity of 5-FU (5-fluorouracil) derivative, obtained by blending uracil with a specific fatty acid. CONSTITUTION:Uracil is blended with one or more fatty acids selected from 8-12C fatty acids (e.g., caprylic acid, capric acid, lauric acid, etc.), linoleic acid, linolenic acid and arachidonic acid, to give a preparation for rectal administration. The amount of the fatty acid added is preferably 75-200wt% based on uracil. Suppository, soft capsule, etc., are preferable as dosage form preparation for rectal administration. An oily base is especially preferable as a base. The fatty acid shows excellent uracil absorption promotion effects.
