The invention relates to a bracket crane and its components enabling anyone to remove an engine from a car without difficulty or to carry out various motor vehicle repairs requiring the vehicle to be lifted. This bracket crane comprises: - two central pillars 9-9' carrying a jib 25-26 which may be adjusted in length and in height by means of the crank 24, the rod 21 and the nut 20; - a drum 11 making it possible to wind up or unwind a cable 17 ending with a hook 28, where the shackle 29, joining the extensible rods J-G-S, is fixed. These rods, in addition to the special level, make it possible to remove, handle and replace the engine in line vertically. - a rotary disc 6 bearing on balls or wheels 32 in order to pivot the assembly; - a support-frame 1 which supports the whole unit is provided with wheels 2-2' for moving it and with bearing blocks for ensuring the stability of the assembly during the rotations. <IMAGE>
