CONSTITUTION:The head chip 18 is fitted on a head base 17 in the state here the laminated plate 14 is positioned by the 3rd L-shaped positioning plate. At this time, the depth end of the head chip is photographed by a camera, and the head chip is aligned by monitoring the output. Since a master magnetic head is preset with the rectangular surfaces A and B of the laminated plate 14 as a reference, the magnetic head to be aligned is aligned with the surfaces A and B of the laminated plate 14 as a reference. Accordingly a distance F from the surface A to the depth end of the head chip 18 of the magnetic head and a distance G between a gap center and the surface B are set to the prescribed dimensions.
