PURPOSE:To reduce dot disturbance by permitting a comparator to decide the correlation of a color for 1H and using a comb-line filter when there is no vertical correlation. CONSTITUTION:Where chromaticity is not constant for 1H, the outputs of the 1st chroma band-pass filter 15 and the 2nd chroma band-pass filter 17 are different from each other. Then the output of the comparator 17 moves the 1st and 2nd switches 19 and 20 downward, and the output of a chroma trap 18 is outputted from the 1st switch 19, while from the 2nd switch 20 the output of the 2nd chroma band-pass filter 16 is outputted. When color video signals with different chromaticities for 1H arrive in such a way, automatically the comb-line filter is removed to use the chroma trap and the chroma band-pass filter, whereby the dot disturbance arising in the lateral direction of a screen can be suppressed. Then the dot disturbance in the longitudinal direction of the screen can be suppressed by the comb-line filter.
