PURPOSE:To give an optional curvature at optional position to a linear body by moving in the vertical direction and longitudinal direction the giving body arranged so as to pinch a travelling linear body and by separating each other in the longitudinal direction of the linear body. CONSTITUTION:The roller 11 of the giving body of one part fitted via a bracket 10 to the movable body 9 fixed on the tip of the piston rod 6 of the cylinder 5 fitted to a stationary frame 4 is brought in contact with the lower part of the wire 2 wound on the former 1 forming a bead and travelling by the prescribed tension. On the other hand the prescribed curvature is given to the wire 2 by pressing to the wire 2 from the upper part by the driving of a cylinder 14 the roller 18 of the giving body of the other part fitted via a movable block 17 to the piston rod 15 of the cylinder 14 of the separating and uniting means 19 fitted to the movable body 9. Thereafter the bead having the terminal end that the curvature almost equal to that of the former 1 is given is formed by cutting the wire 2 with the upper edge 29 and lower edge.
