The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for correcting slope information of an automatic transmission vehicle, capable of correcting slope measurement data by a suspension control signal to thereby detect and correct an error between an actual slope and a measured slope to select a transmission and provide engine power appropriate for a road situation, thus enhancing driving safety of a vehicle. The apparatus for correcting slope information of an automatic transmission vehicle comprises: a suspension controller generating a suspension control signal including a suspension, front and rear heights of a vehicle, a brake state, and an accelerator state; and a transmission controller receiving a G sensor signal, receiving the suspension control signal from the suspension controller, comparing the received signals with a reference value to determine a squat mode or a dive mode, comparing the G sensor signal and the suspension control signal according to the result of determining the G sensor signal and the suspension control signal to correct an actual road slope, and selecting a gear transmission map for driving according to the corrected actual road slope. |
