PURPOSE:To enable an air duct to be installed in a limited space such as a hoodridge panel and the like by forming the air duct into a circle in a spiral form at its middle portion of the air duct used for an air cleaner and the like. CONSTITUTION:An air duct 1 is allowed to turn by 360 deg. into a spiral form within a vertical plane in the longitudinal direction at its middle portion between a suction opening end 1b and a discharge opening end 1a so as to form a circle 1d, the length of which is maintained to be L. And sounds caused by air sucked in is intended to be damped while the air passes through the circle 1d of the air duct. In addition, the circle 1d of the air duct is lowered with respect to the both ends 1a and 1b, and a drain plug 5 is provided at its lowest place. This configuration allows a space for installation to be minimized enabling installation to be effected in a limited space.
