PURPOSE:To obtain the title core material having high magnetic flux density as well as to improve its high frequency characteristics by a method wherein the amorphous magnetic alloy powder having specific grain diameter is fusion-welded with one another through the intermediary of the surface of the powder, and a plate of 10-50mum thickness is formed by adhering the powder in the state wherein it has a specific density. CONSTITUTION:Amorphous magnetic alloy powder having the average grain diameter of 10-100mum is manufactured, said powder is stuffed in a mold, it is compressed in a moment by impact force, the powder is fusion-welded with one another through the intermediary of the powder surface, and it is formed into a solidified body having the density of 95% or more of true density. Then, said solidified body is formed into the plate of 10-100mum in thickness. The impact force necessary for formation of the solidified body can be obtained easily using an explosive compression method or an explosive pressure-bonding method and the like. Said solidified body has the adhesive strength sufficient to perform a machining work on the plate of 100mum or less and it has also sufficient mechanical strength as a magnetic core. Also, said thin film plate has the excellent value of effective permeability of mueff in a high-frequency region at such as 5Mh2 for example.
