摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To enhance the yield of ingots by using a CaO-Ti2O3 forming Ti compound-Al2O3-CaF2 flux satisfying specified conditions when an alloy contg. Ti and Al is subjected to electro-slag remelting. CONSTITUTION:When an alloy contg. Ti and Al is subjected to the electro-slag remelting, the CaO-Ti2O3 forming Ti compound-Al2O3-CaF2 flux is used. The ratio of CaO/(Al2O3+Ti2O3) in the flux is <=3.0, the ratio of Ti2O3/Al2O3 is >=0.02, and the flux has <=70wt% CaF2 content, contains <=2.0wt% SiO2, <=1wt% each of Fe and Mn oxides as impurities and satisfies the formula. In the formula, ( ) is the wt% of each metallic oxide in the flux and [ ] is the desired wt% of each metal in an ingot.</p>
