PURPOSE:To raise the bonding strength between a piezo-electric ceramic tube and electrodes by providing a piezo-electric ceramic tube having electrodes made of a conductor thin layer formed by laminating a tin layer on a copper layer on its inner and outer surfaces. CONSTITUTION:Electrode layers 4 of copper are formed on the inner and outer surfaces of a piezo-electric ceramic tube 3, and electrode layers 5 of tin are formed on the electrode layers 4 to form a pair of electrodes 6 and 7. When applying voltage through the electrodes 6 and 7 to the tube 3, the tube 3 is contracted in the axial direction and its inside diameter is also contracted to compress a liquid conduit 1. A liquid is jetted through a jet nozzle 2 in the tip of the conduit 1 by the pressure. When the voltage is changed and the displacement of the tube 3 is restored, the conduit 1 is also restored to its original state and shows a negative pressure. The liquid can thus be supplied from a liquid trap into the conduit 1 by suction. |
