The present invention relates to a rubber composition for tire treads and a tire obtained by using the same. The rubber composition for tire treads comprises: 20-80 parts by weight of silica having a CTAB value of 120-220 m^2/g and a BET value of 140-250 m^2/g; 5-20 parts by weight of carbon black having an iodine adsorption value of 50-150 mg/g and a DBPA oil absorption of 100-200 cc/100 g; and 2-20 parts by weight of a coupling agent, based on 100 parts by weight of a rubber raw material comprising epoxidized natural rubber having a glass transition temperature (Tg) of -50 to -40°C, a Mooney viscosity of 60-80 and an epoxidation degree of 10-30 mol% and neodymium butadiene rubber having a Mooney viscosity of 35-55. The rubber composition according to the present invention reduces rotational resistance of tires and improves wear resistance and braking performance on a wet road surface with a good balance. |
