A device according to the invention comprises a first tank (5) which is provided with a vertical telescopic column (8) which is contained in the collapsed state in said tank and which carries a diffuser (9). The tank (5) contains a liquid. The device comprises a second reserve tank (11). The device comprises flame detectors distributed at the periphery of the tanks. When a flame is detected, an electronic unit (23) controls automatically the pyrotechnic shutters which communicate compressed gas bottles (10) with the first tank (5). An application is the control of forest fires. |
