PURPOSE:To provide excellent plastic deformation resistance by incorporating specific amounts of Ti into a binding metallic phase in a sintered hard alloy having as hard dispersed phase a double carbonitride of Ti, Ta, Mo and W and also having as binding metallic phase a metal consisting of Ni and Co. CONSTITUTION:The sintered hard alloy has the hard dispersed phase composed of the double carbonitride of Ti, Ta, Mo and W and the binding metallic phase composed of the metal consisting of Ni and Co. Into the above binding metallic phase (where Co/Ni=1/9-9/1 by weight ratio), Ti is incorporated by an amount satisfying Ti/CotNi+Ti=0.05-0.5 by weight ratio, that is, a metallic Ti powder is added in manufacturing a sintered alloy.
