摘要 PURPOSE:To have efficient operation of a conveyor device by sensing the height of transported objects on a belt conveyor or its share to the total area, and by controlling the conveyor speed automatically so that the sensed value marks the set max. allowable amount. CONSTITUTION:The height h of transported objects 2 on a belt conveyor or their share a to the total available area is sensed by a sensor 5 at regular intervals. At a controller 6, the max. allowable height H or share A for the transported objects 2 is previously set on the basis of stabilized angle of the objects, the rated load of belt conveyor and increase/decrease in the feeding amount onto the conveyor, and the conveyor speed is controlled through a drive motor 4 so that comparison with the sensed value shows zero deviation. That is, if the amount of transported objects has decreased or if bulk specific gravity has increased to mean substantial drop of the transport amount, the conveyor speed is reduced through control of said drive motor 4 so as to maintain the share of objects 2 at a high level, which ensures that the conveyor device is operated in high loaded condition at all times to lead to accomplishment of saving of electric power.
