PURPOSE:To enhance releasability of a sheet, by constituting the thermal transfer medium of a transfer sheet which has a transfer layer comprising a leuco dye as a main constituent and ethyl cellulose having a molecular weight of not less than 50,000 and a receiving sheet which has a receiving layer comprising a color developer as a main constituent. CONSTITUTION:The transfer layer comprising a leuco dye as a main constituent and an ethyl cellulose resin having a molecular weight of not less than 50,000 mixed therewith is provided on a base to produce the transfer sheet. On the other hand, the receiving layer comprising a color developer for the dye as a main constituent is provided on a base to produce the receiving sheet, and the thermal transfer medium is constituted of the transfer sheet and the receiving sheet. The leuco dye is preferably based on triphenylmethane, fluoran or the like. The amount of the ethyl cellulose resin used in the transfer layer is 0.01-1pt.wt. per 1pt.wt. of the leuco dye, preferably, 0.05-0.5pt.wt. |
