PURPOSE:To prevent formed images from being deteriorated, by constituting the thermal transfer medium of a transfer sheet having a transfer layer comprising a leuco dye as a main constituent and a receiving sheet having a receiving layer comprising a specified compound together with a color developer used as a main constituent. CONSTITUTION:The transfer layer comprising a leuco dye as a main constituent and comprising at least one compound of formula I or II, wherein R1 is H, alkyl or alkoxy, and R2 is H, halogen or alkoxy, and at least one compound of formula III, wherein each of R1, R2, R3, R4, R5 and R6 is H or alkyl, is provided on a base to produce the transfer sheet. On the other hand, the receiving layer comprising a color developer for the dye as a main constituent is provided on a base to produce the receiving sheet, and the thermal transfer medium is constituted of the transfer sheet and the receiving sheet. |
