摘要 Endourethrally located sphincter prosthesis. The invention aims to avoid unphysiological compression of the urethra and hence inflammatory, degenerative processes requiring surgical after-care, by a novel valve system and arrangement thereof. The prosthesis is implanted into the enucleated prostatic cavity. The closure mechanism acting centripetally by means of a hydraulically actuated pinch valve (2, 3) acts upon a tube (5) of a rubber-like material passed through the prosthetic housing (1) and available to the surgeon in different calibers for individual adjustment. The pinch valve is opened and closed in known fashion using a control pump located in the scrotum, and this can be actuated manually or electromechanically. After implantation and fixation of the sphincter prosthesis in the prostatic cavity and suturing of the capsule of the prostate, the balloon (11) located around the prostatic housing (1) is filled with a quickly curing silicone foam for further fixation of the prosthesis. The filled balloon adapts to the inner wall of the prostatic cavity. <IMAGE>
