Disclosed is a secondary battery having a structure capable of improving energy density and rate properties. The disclosed secondary battery comprises: a first electrode current collector layer and a second electrode current collector layer placed to be faced each other; a plurality of first active material layers which electrically come into contact with the first electrode current collector layer and are vertically arranged on the first electrode current collector layer; a plurality of second active material layers which electrically come into contact with the second electrode current collector layer and are vertically arranged on the second electrode current collector layer; and a first conductor layer which electrically come into contact with the first electrode current collector layer and are inserted inside the first active material layers.
