The present invention relates to an electronic device and a method for controlling the electronic device. The electronic device according to an embodiment of the present invention can display a personal schedule of a first user and a reservation schedule of a broadcasting content registered by multiple users sharing a scheduler application together, in case the scheduler application able to be shared to the multiple users whose accounts are registered is executed by an account of the first user. Therefore, a watching schedule of the broadcasting content can be managed more efficiently through the scheduler application. The electronic device includes: a display part; a memory where each account of the multiple users is registered and the scheduler application able to be executed through the account of the users is stored; and a control part which displays the reservation schedule of the broadcasting content registered by the multiple users.
