PURPOSE:An optical disc which does not adversely affect a recording film applied thereto, has good double refraction and is low in a decrease in the SN ratio, obtained by injection-molding a specified bis(hydroxyphenyl)alkane polycarbonate resin and applying a recording film to the injection molding. CONSTITUTION:A polycarbonate resin of bis(hydroxyphenyl)alkane [e.g., 2,2-bis(4- hydroxyphenyl)propane] having an average MW of 13,000-22,000 and containing no antioxidant is injection-molded to obtain an optical disc base of a thickness of about 1.2mm. A recording film is applied to this base. |
