发明名称 METHOD OF DETECTING MERCURY FOR BENT BULB TYPE FLUORESCENT LAMP
摘要 PURPOSE:To automatically detect the presence and supplied quantity of mercury, by supplying the mercury into a curved fluorescent lamp, turing on the lamp to photograph the shadow of the blob of the mercury to generate a signal, and subjecting the signal to binary processing to find out the quantity of the mercury. CONSTITUTION:A plunger 7 is put into operation in a mercury trickling position to supply mercury into the tube 2 of a curved fluorescent lamp. The output of a high-frequency oscillator 10 is applied to the tube 2 through a discharge antenna 11 in a detecting position to photograph the shadow of the blob 9 of the mercury by a camera 12 to generate a signal which is converted into a binary signal for black and white by a processor 13. The area occupation ratio of the black or the white within a prescribed frame is detected through a minitoring television set 14. If it is judged that the mercury is not supplied or the supplied quantity thereof is less than a prescribed level, the plunger 7 is put into operation again to supply the mercury. The mercury can thus be automatically controlled to a fixed quantity to enhance the quality of the lamp.
