An electronic device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a display module; and a processor for determining a broadcasting server, which provides content being displayed by the display module, through automatic content recognition (ACR), comparing a template corresponding to the determined broadcasting server with a template corresponding to a previously stored broadcasting server, and determining whether the broadcasting server which provides the content being displayed by the display module is changed based on the result of the comparison. However, the present invention can include other embodiments without being limited to the above-described embodiment. The electronic device of the present invention can reduce the amount of computation of the server which performs the ACR. |
