PURPOSE:To allow a constant speed running to be controlled not to hurt running feeling by allowing an autocruise device to be effected with an economy cruise prohibiting means actuated when the condition of both an engine and outside air meets the specified requirement. CONSTITUTION:The on-off operation of a clutch 10 and the opening control of a throttle valve 26 by means of a throttle actuator 25 are effected based on signals from a computer unit 30. And the unit 30 is operated by the on-off action of a cruise control switch 30a. Here, the unit 30 is composed of a running change-over control block 31, a normal running control block 34, a throttle opening control block 35, and of a clutch control block 36. When a constant speed running by an economy cruise is required, if the condition of an engine, intake air temperature, and outside air temperature is found not to meet the requirement of the economy cruise, the constant speed running is allowed to be effected by an autocruise. |
