PURPOSE:To obtain perfluorotributylamine used as an inert liq. or artificial blood in a high yield by electrolytically fluorinating a tertiary amine represented by a prescribed formula. CONSTITUTION:A tertiary amine represented by a formula NRn(CX<1>2CF2CX<2>2- CX<3>3)3-n (where R is butyl, each of X<1>-X<3> is H or F and n=0, 1 or 2) is prepd, where excluding perfluorotributylamine. The tertiary amine is electrolytically fluorinated at 5-7 deg.C and 5.5-6.5V bath voltage for 4hr.
