PURPOSE:To attain a detailed control covering a wide range in video and acoustic equipment control systems connected through a communication circuit by separating an equipment controller into a communication controller and an equipment controller and employing a common controller as the communication controller and a equipment suitable to each video and acoustic equipment. CONSTITUTION:A equipment controlling signal transmitted from a central controller is received by the communication controller 1 through the communication circuit 4 and inputted to the equipment controller 2 through a signal line. Judging the contents, the equipment controller 2 inputs the equipment control signal to the video and acoustic equipment 3 through a remote control signal line 6 to control equipments, and simultaneously monitors the state of the equipments through an equipment state monitor line 7. When a normal control is carried out, the equipment controller 2 reports the state to the central controller through the communication circuit 4. It also reports the abnormal state in the same manner. The equipment controller 2 monitors normally the state of the video and acoustic equipment 3, and the central controller executes processing according to information from the controller 2.
