Composition for regulating the growth of cultivated plants mainly of cereals, papilionaceae, sunflower, cotton and maize comprising as active ingredient 0.1-90% by mass of a compound of general formula (I) wherein R<1>, R<2> and R<3> are the same or different and stand for C1-C16 straight or branched alkyl or C2-C16 alkenyl and Y stands for a nonphytotoxic anion, preferably halogen and an inert solid or liquid carrier or a solvent and optionally a surfactant and/or dispersing agent and/or an additive influencing favourably the activity; and to the process for regulating the growth of cultivated plants.
