The invention relates to an electrode arrangement for gas lasers having transverse radio-frequency energizing. It is characterised by the fact that the radio-frequency electrodes are constructed as bifilar helices. The bifilar helical structure of the radio-frequency electrodes ensures high-quality, rotationally symmetrical energizing of the laser gas and produces an improvement in the beam quality of RF-energized gas lasers. <IMAGE>
