A container, for storing a floating medium which is primarily a liquid of density less than 1 kg/dm3., the container being intended to be floated in the sea, comprises a cylindrical casing with buoyancy elements and having an apertured bottom to contain the sotred medium, characterised in that the medium (4) is held isolated from the water (5) in which the container floats by means of a liq.-tight bellows structure (6) arranged in the container casing, such that the volume of the structure adapts to the qty. of medium (4) being stored. The bellows structure (6) comprises a base (7) and a number of circumferential flexible sections (8) one above the other such that the base (7) of the bellows structure (6) can be raised and lowered to vary the volume along guides (14) within the casing (1) (1). Most of the sections (8) have a circumferential upper and lower joint flange (9,10) with a circumferentially extending part (11) between the flanges which turns inwardly towards the centre axis of the section. The assembly of section forming the bellows structure (6) has an upper joint flange (9) firmly held between two external joints (15), with a separate cover (17) located above and in connection with the uppermost attachment of the uppermost section. . |
