According to a first aspect, the invention relates to a computer-implemented method for evaluating a trap (T1,T2, T3) determined at a corresponding boundary (104-106) between two bounding regions (101-103) of different color in a document image (100) to avoid or reduce the effects of misregistration in a polychromatic print process. The method comprises a step of calculating for the trap (T1 ,T2,T3) a value representing a perceptual color difference between the trap (T1,T2,T3) and a bounding region (101-103) corresponding to the trap (T1,T2,T3). Further, the method comprises a step of comparing the value with a threshold value (T) and a step of marking the trap (T1,T2,T3) as a bad trap (T1,T2) when the value exceeds the threshold value (T). |
