PURPOSE:To display various rainfall patterns and to enable the simplification of circuit constitution, by storing various data of rainfall patterns in a pattern memory and reading the same therefrom. CONSTITUTION:When antenna angle data is inputted, the distance data corresponding to said angle data is read from a pattern memory 2. A rainfall image signal is generated during a time until the point corresponding to the distance data read from the point of time, when the scanning of the scanning line corresponding to the antenna angle was started, is scanned. By this method, when the rainfall image signal is generated with respect to an entire scanning line by a rainfall image signal generating means 6, a rainfall image when a radar antenna is present in a rainfall region can be displayed.
