PURPOSE:To attain recording and reproducing of a voice signal of high quality with least deterioration in acoustic characteristic by executing the sampling at a frequency of 44.1kHz in case of high-fidelity (HI-FI) PCM mode. CONSTITUTION:By converting mode change-over switches S1-S7 to the sides of contacting points b1-b7, the mode is turned into HI-FI PCM mode. The analog voice signals of both left and right channels undergo LPFs of 20kHz 9 and 10, and are sample by a sampling circuit 11 at the sampling frequency of 44.1kHz. And, a PCM voice signal is supplied from a 16-bit A/D converter circuit 12 to a control circuit 4. The PCM voice signal is processed by RF modulating/demodulating circuits 14-16, and inputted to an amp. 17 through switches S7-S9, and recorded by magnetic heads 18 and 19. A reproduced PCM voice signal is supplied to the circuits 14-16, and to a D/A converter 21 via the control circuit 4. An analog voice signal is channel-separated by a switch S10, and the separated ones undergo LPFs of 20kHz 26 and 27, and are reproduced and outputted as a voice.
