A porous foam which contains inorganic fibers other than asbestos, and which is characterized by having a compressive stress of 0.1 MPa or less when compressed at a compression rate of 80% at room temperature and a recovery ratio of 50% or more when compressed at a compression rate of 80% at room temperature.
