METHOD FOR ATTACHING MAGNETIC HEAD

PURPOSE:To integrate a magnetic head with a head carriage with maintaining a position accuracy by performing a position adjustment of the magnetic head after a bonding agent pot temporarily fixed to the magnetic head is fixed to the head carriage and fixing by the bonding agent. CONSTITUTION:To a bonding agent pot 22, a support plate 9 to which a magnetic head 8 is fixed is temporarily fixed by a machine screw 24 and the support plate 9 is vertically moved by the machine screw 24 and an oblong hole 26 to adjust a protruding amount of the magnetic head 8. By turning an inclination of the support plate 9 can be adjusted from a relation of an eccentric cam 30a and a notch 27 an adjusting jig 30 centering a pin 28. The bonding agent pot 22 is accommodated in a recessed section 20 of a head carriage 10 and fixed by a machine screw 23, and then, the position or the attitude of the support plate 9 are adjusted by the use of the adjusting jig 30 or the like to decide the position of the magnetic head 8. Into the bonding agent pot 22, a liquid bonding agent 32 is poured and hardened.
