PURPOSE:To enable a smooth brake force to be obtained while avoiding the locking of wheels by constituting so that a brake force is exerted by utilizing the shear force of viscous fluid. CONSTITUTION:The rotating parts of a disk brake device are divided into a wheel side member 2 turning together with wheels and a disk part 4 receiving a brake force. Laminated disk plates 6 provided on the wheel side member 2 and laminated disk plates 8 provided on the disk part 4 are alternately arranged, and all of these disk plates are made to keep a small space h. And, the outer circumference of the disk part 4 is covered by a casing 9 in which a viscous fluid 11 is filled so that a shear force due to a relative velocity difference between the disk plates 8 on the disk part 4 and the disk plates 6 on the wheel side member 2 is caused to act as a brake force. Accordingly, even in the case of sudden braking, wheels are not locked and a smooth braking operation can be obtained.
