Aluminium-air cell

An aluminium-air cell with a stagnant electrolyte is constructed as having two telescopically joined basic parts: an outer part 11 and an inner part, 12 with both electrodes fixed at a constant distance inside the outer part. Between the electrodes there is a wiper 7 fixed near the top of the inner part, with the purpose of scrubbing the electrodes of the reaction product and stirring the electrolyte as the outer part is pulled out of the inner part.
