PURPOSE:To reduce the number of clamping rod for each electrode by reducing the periphery of a dust collecting electrode plate and auxiliary electrode plate and fixing at regular intervals for reinforcement. CONSTITUTION:Whole area or a part of the external periphery of a dust collecting electrode plate 5 and auxiliary electrode plate 6 of an air cleaner are processed by reducing, and the dust collecting electrode plate 5 and the auxiliary electrode plate 6 are fixed alternately at regular intervals. Thus the dust collecting electrode plate is reinforced. Accordingly, the number of clamping rod for the dust collecting electrode plate and the auxiliary electrode plate are saved. The structure of the air cleaner is made remarkably simpler providing great advantage in industry.
