PURPOSE:To recognize a caller by providing a sounder device generating a call tone corresponding to the registered content when a decoded telephone number sent from a caller is coincident with a registered content in a memory so as to have only to listen to the call tone. CONSTITUTION:When a call comes, a telephone number sent by a caller telephone set is sent through a telephone line 1, extracted by a data extraction circuit 6, decoded by a decoder 7 and inputted to a microcomputer 15. The microcomputer 15 compares the decoded number with a number stored in a memory 9 and when any number coincident with the registered numbers exists, no processing is conducted and when registered, a call tone number corresponding registered telephone number is extracted similarly from the memory 9 and sent t a voice synthesis circuit 16, which receives the call tone number, synthesizes the call tone corresponding to the said number and allows a speaker 5 to output the call tone.
