<p>PURPOSE:To enhance the heat response of a liquid jet recording head provided with a heating resistor layer, by a method wherein the heating resistor layer constituting an electrothermal conversion body is constructed of a specific amorphous material containing carbon atoms as the base. CONSTITUTION:A heating resistor layer 14, constituting an electrothermal conversion body in the liquid jet recording head, consists of an amorphous material containing carbon atoms as the base, halogen atoms, and hydrogen atoms. This construction allows the liquid jet recording head and the liquid jet recorder to have remarkably excellent heat response and repeated use durability. Additionally, the variation in the content(s) of halogen atom and/or hydrogen atom in the film thickness direction in the heating resistor layer 14 is suitably selected so as to easily obtain the desired characteristics in heat accumulation, heat radiation, adhesion between a substrate 12 and the resistor layer 14, resistance to chemical reaction to a recording liquid, and the like. Electrodes 16, 17 are protected by the heating resistor 14, eliminating the need for forming a protective layer thereon.</p> |
