PURPOSE:To provide the titled preparation having minute granular to tablet form, containing a cellulose lower alkyl ether, polyacrylic acid or its pharmacologically permissible salt and a drug component and capable of slowly releasing the drug component in the stomach or intestiness by oral administration. CONSTITUTION:The titled preparation contains (A) a cellulose lower alkyl ether (e.g. hydroxypropyl cellulose), (B) a polyacrylic acid or its pharmacologically permissible salt and (C) a drug component. The form of the preparation is preferably small granule having particle diameter of 0.5-2mm or a tablet of 2-8mm in diameter and 1-5mm in thickness. The weight ratio A:B is 10:(0.1-10). The component B is homopolymer or copolymer of acrylic acid. The rate of release of the drug component can be controlled to meet the remedying purpose by changing the ratio of A to B.
