PURPOSE:To increase the reliability of clad material with good joining by ladding the joining face of the thin sheet of different material each other by activating the surface with ion beam milling. CONSTITUTION:Each joining face 3 of different material 1, 2 is surface-activated by ion beam milling method. The material 1, 2 is then taken out from the inside of the ion beam irradiating tank and joined by coldrolling ladding method by overlapping the joining face each other immediately. The conditions of the ion beam milling vary by the kind of materials, etc. as well but the ion beam is irradiated on the joining face after exacuating inside the ion beam irradiating tank, argon gas is enclosed in succession and adjusting the inner pressure.
