PURPOSE:To improve the quality of images in an one-component developing system by laminating a toner having a specific composition to the surface of a toner carrying member to develop a latent image by the toner. CONSTITUTION:Since a toner feeding roller and a doctor blade 6 are arranged on the outlet side of a hopper, the toner stored in the hopper and delivered in accordance with the rotation of an agitator 4 is moved following the rotation of the toner feeding roller, the movement of the toner is regulated by a layer thickness regulating part S and a toner thin layer is formed on the surface of the roller 5 and frictionally charged. The toner thin layer formed on the surface of the roller 5 is adhered to the surface of a developing sleeve 1 at a contact part between the roller 5 and the sleeve 1. When the toner consisting of at least a coloring agent, binding resin and glycerol-fatty acid ester as main components is used to develop a latent image, the quality of images can be improved. |
