PURPOSE:To save energy and resources in the wet-desulfurization of coke oven gas, and to reduce the initial cost of apparatus, by heat-exchanging the desulfurization liquid with ammonia water for cooling coke oven gas, thereby heating the desulfurization liquid. CONSTITUTION:The desulfurization liquid in the balance tank 5 of a desulfurization system and the ammonia water in the ammonia water tank 14 of a coke oven gas cooling system are introduced into heat-exchanger 19 to transfer the sensible heat of the ammonia water to the desulfurization liquid and the heated desulfurization liquid is supplied to the desulfurizer 1.
