The attitudes of lead components supported by a component supporting section, and the kinds of component holding tools for holding the lead components in such attitudes are stored in a storage device by being related to each other. Furthermore, an image of the component supporting section in a state wherein a plurality of lead components are scattered is picked up by an image pickup device, and on the basis of image pickup data obtained by the image pickup, the attitudes of the lead components supported by the component supporting section are specified. Then, a component holding tool of the kind stored by being related to the lead component attitude thus specified is determined as a component holding tool for holding the lead component. Consequently, the component holding tools can be replaced corresponding to the attitudes of the lead components, and the lead components in various attitudes can be held by the component holding tools. |
