PURPOSE:To obtain the titled pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet or tape having cushioning property and flexibility and high strength, and formable to a continuous form, by foaming a fiber-containing substrate containing foamable rubber, etc., and applying a layer of a pressure-sensitive adhesive agent on the substrate. CONSTITUTION:(A) A substrate (e.g. paper, nonwoven cloth, etc.) is impregnated with (B) a mixture of (i) a rubber (e.g. styrene rubber latex) or a resin composition and (ii) a foaming agent (especially preferably an agent foaming at 80-200 deg.C, e.g. azodicarboxylic acid amide). The objective tape can be produced by applying a layer of a pressure-sensitive adhesive agent to the surface of the foamed substrate produced above. The amount of the component (ii) added to the component (i) is preferably 1-10pts.wt.
