This invention relates to an ultrasonic washing machine for tableware equipped with an ultrasonic generator and a device for supplying bubbles of air in a tank. Some of the bubbles of air sent out from groups of holes in the air-bubble-supply device make the ultrasound increase the diffuse reflection on them when they rise in the water in the tank. The remainder of the air bubbles are dissolved in water, but they rise again over the tableware through the effect of ultrasound cavitation, which means that the dirt or foreign materials are released from the tableware. The construction is such that the air in the water consumed by the ultrasound cavitation is conveyed within the water from the outside from time to time. Therefore, cleaning of the tableware by means of air bubbles takes place constantly and no detergent is needed in the washing of said tableware.
