PURPOSE:To enable to accelerate the operating speed of tire assembling and at the same time to improve the assembling accuracy of material by a method wherein a reciprocating mechanism, which can get close to and drift away from a forming drum and consists of a guide mechanism and a hydraulic cylinder is provided on a machine frame. CONSTITUTION:In a shifting device 100, a slide block 7 is retreated by retreating a rod 9a through the actuation of a motorized cylinder 9. In a feeding device 200, a rod 22 is pivoted and consequently leaf springs 20a and 20b are revolved upwards. When the leaf springs 20a and 20b are revolved downwards by retreating the rod of a hydraulic cylinder 27, the constitutional material W of a tire is fed on a drum D by advancing the constitutional material W of the tire placed onto the top surface of a material supporting plate 35. After the material supporting plate 35 is retreated, the constitutional material W of the tire is cut off along the tip part 48 of a cutting guide plate. Finally, the cut protruded portion of the material W is pressed manually onto the surface of the drum D in order to be fixed by pressure.
