PURPOSE:To eliminate the influence due to the crosstalk by the parallel line by transmitting and receiving the accommodating position information inherent to respective lines between the digital exchange and the digital line terminal device as the means to confirm the action condition of the digital line terminal device and the digital terminal device. CONSTITUTION:When a digital line terminal device 2 receives the condition reading request data through a receiving control circuit 22, the device edits the data such as the electric power source ON OFF condition of a digital terminal device 3, transferring speed information, parity information and synchronizing information at a DM processor 23, and transmits through a transmitting control circuit 21 to a digital line circuit 4 as the condition confirming data of the digital line terminal device 2 and the digital terminal device 3. A DLC processor 43 receives the condition confirming data through a receiving control circuit 42, and thereby, the action condition of the digital line terminal device 2 and the digital terminal device 3 can be confirmed. The confirming information is informed to a central control device 11 at the time of the change.
