PURPOSE:To easily enable a highly accurate positioning of a printing plate by the following manner; on a mounting device for printing plates that are stuck to respective saddles by magnetic force, positioning pins are set up at the circumferential ends of the saddles or in the areas between the saddles for a plate cylinder, and at the same time, for holes for inserting pins are provided at the other end edge of the printing plate. CONSTITUTION:A plate cylinder 1 is provided on its outer peripheral surface with pairs of semi-cylindrical saddles 2 and 3 fixed thereto, and on the both ends permanent magnets M1, M2 and M3 are buried-in. Positioning pins 6 and 7 are provided at fixed intervals in longitudinal grooves 4 and 5 in the axial direction of the plate cylinder 1, and the bases of the positioning pins 6 and 7 are fixed to the plate cylinder 1. Holes 14 and 15 for inserting pins are provided at the places corresponding to the positioning pins 6 and 7 at the tip edges 10a and 11a of the printing plates 10 and 11, and the positioning pins 6 and 7 are inserted. The tip edges 10a and 11a of the printing plates 10 and 11 are inserted into the concave grooves 12 and 13, and the tip edges 10a and 11a press the pressing shoulder portions 16 and 17 to maintain the condition of being fit in.
