The invention relates to a procedure for obtaining a powdered detergent composition for cold washing, which involves reacting epoxyalkanes with amines in a quantity of 1 to 15 times the molar quantity, relative to the epoxyalkane, with the excess amine acting as a solvent, and which is characterized in that an aqueous dispersion of surface-active agents chosen from anionic, non-ionic and zwitterionic surface-active agents is formed in a reactor, with stirring, at a temperature between ambient temperature and 50 degree C, and in a second stage the product of the reaction between the epoxyalkanes and amines of the general formula <IMAGE> in which the substituents are as defined in the descriptive report, is added to the reactor, and the process is continued in the reactor until homogeneity between the different reagents is achieved, when the temperature is brought to 80 degree C, followed by atomization of the contents of the reactor, which are further processed.
